The fee for the work I do is agreed upfront after a no-obligation budget is put before you in simple English setting out a scope of works and timetable. For bricks and mortar retailers and many others, the lease is the cornerstone upon which your entire investment is built.

All the mistakes happen early. Very early. Getting trapped by poor negotiation decisions at the heads of agreement, or pre-lease stage, is an all too common mistake and all too easily avoidable.

The real value is in getting me involved from day one. You pay the same to get the deal done right. Take control and use your negotiating power.

Do not sign the heads of agreement or pay a leasing deposit without getting a nod from a lawyer who has spent his career helping clients set up and sell their businesses for peak value.
